Kathmandu, Chitwan and Pokhara are three major cities of Nepal with their own specialties. Kathmandu, the capital city of the country is known as city of temples in the world and it has cultural significance. Chitwan is famous for jungle safari whereas Pokhara, the city of lakes is one of the naturally gifted cities in the world. This tour package of 8 days lets you explore the best of these three cities.

The trip begins with your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. You get an opportunity to visit some of UNESCO’s world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley including Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Patan Durbar Square and Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple). Pashupatinath Temple, located on the outskirts of Kathmandu city is one of the holiest temples of Hindus. Thousands of Hindus especially from Nepal and India visit the temple to pay homage to Lord Pashupatinath (Lord of Animals), an incarnation of Lord Shiva. Patan Durbar Square, one of the three Durbar Squares in Kathmandu valley used to be the palace of Malla kings and it showcases the architecture of Newa people. Boudhanath Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa are two major spiritual sites of Buddhists in Nepal. After admiring the cultural beauty of Kathmandu valley, we take a drive by tourist bus towards Chitwan which takes us around 4-5 hours to reach our destination. Chitwan owes the first national park of Nepal, Chitwan National Park which is one of the two national parks of Nepal enlisted in UNESCO’s world heritage sites. Many tourists visit the park to spot various endangered animals and birds. You can enjoy your time in Chitwan by involving in various exhilarating jungle activities such as Elephant rides, Jungle walks, Jeep safaris, birds watching, canoeing, etc. After exploring Chitwan National Park, our next destination is Pokhara which can be reached by 3 hours drive from Chitwan. Pokhara, one of the major destinations of tourists visiting Nepal is naturally beautiful with lakes, falls, caves and mountainous beauty. We visit various sites in Pokhara including World Peace Pagoda, Devis Fall, Gupteshwor Cave and International Mountain Museum. We can enjoy our time in Lake Side admiring awe-inspiring views around there. After having great time in Pokhara, we drive back to Kathmandu.

Outline Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival at TIA Kathmandu (1350m) & Transfer to the Hotel.

After your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), a representative of Himalaya destiny will meet you at the airport and welcome you to the Himalayan nation of Nepal. You shall then be escorted to your hotel where you can rest and relax your jet lagged body. Later at the hotel you will be briefed about your upcoming daily activities. In the afternoon, you can go out and explore the surrounding streets. Stay overnight at Kathmandu

Day 02: Kathmandu City tour

Today we shall visit the famous and popular heritage sites around the Kathmandu valley which are listed as the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We shall embark on a tour around the iconic Buddhist stupas of Swayambhunath (The Monkey Temple) which is also known as one of the oldest existing stupas in the world and Boudhanath which is one of the largest stupas in the world. We also should have a look around the sacred Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath which represents the faith of Hindus all over the world and is known for Hindu architecture.  and later on go for a visit to the Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square, and the other big and small heritages. Later in the evening we shall have a pre-trip meeting where you shall be provided with necessary information about the trek. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Chitwan by Tourist Bus. O/N at Chitwan Hotel

Today we shall start our tour outside the Kathmandu valley. We shall take a drive to the famous place of Sauraha in Chitwan which is close to the Chitwan National Park. Our drive shall be very picturesque as we pass through rivers and forests until we reach the hot lowlands of Terai with plain landscapes. Without a doubt you shall be able to notice the changes in weather, landscape, lifestyle and other aspects of society and culture of the locals. You shall be amazed by the sights as you follow the narrow and windy roads in the hills to the straight roads surrounded by huge farming lands and plains. Later in the afternoon you can go out and stroll around the areas of your hotel rooms to observe the local lifestyle and beautiful sunset. Stay overnight at Chitwan.

Day 04: Chitwan National Park

As of today you get to explore the natural landscapes and wildlife thriving here within the Chitwan National Park. You can go and explore the lush jungles with variety of wildlife living in it. See the birds flying high in the sky and take pictures of the wildlife to take back home. Get up and close with nature as you get to observe the local scenery with rare animals like One-horned rhinoceros, Leopard and other animals from much closer distance. Get your camera ready as you never know when a rare animal might come in front of you. Later you shall return back to your respective hotel room for dinner. Stay overnight at Chitwan.

Day 05: Chitwan to Pokhara by Tourist Bus. O/N at Pokhara Hotel

Today you shall drive to another destination of our trip. We shall have our breakfast and capture some last but amazing memories from Chitwan before heading onward to Pokhara. The drive from Chitwan shall take us about 5-6 hours to reach Pokhara. Our drive should take us gently up through heavily terraced fields and small hill towns that shall take you directly into Pokhara. Upon reaching Pokhara you shall be transferred to your respective hotel where you shall rest the following night. Stay overnight at Pokhara.

Day 06: Pokhara City Tour. O/N at Pokhara Hotel

Today marks the sixth day of our tour. So we shall spend the whole day by exploring the vicinity of Pokhara. We shall do some sightseeing tour of Pokhara city. Pokhara is a place of natural beauty is known as a centre of adventure, has several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panoramic views of the Himalaya. You can observe views to the north across the hills and Phewa Lake to the white peaks of the Annapurna and Lamjung ranges and do some boating activity around Phewa Lake. Generally “Phewa Lake” is also the centre of all attractions in Pokhara and the starting and ending point for many of the popular trekking routes in Nepal. Stay overnight at Pokhara.

Day 07: Pokhara to Kathmandu by Tourist Bus. O/N at Kathmandu Hotel

Today we are now at the end of our interesting and scenic adventure tour we shall say goodbye to Pokhara valley as we have to drive back to the medieval city of Kathmandu. We shall drive along the twisting and turning paved roads along rural settlements and scenic landscapes. After reaching Kathmandu you shall be transferred to your respective hotel. Stay overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 08: Final Departure

Today marks the end of our 8 days Kathmandu, Chitwan and Pokhara tour as you shall be transferred to the airport by a representative of Himalaya Destiny at least 3 hours before your scheduled flight to your native land.
